​FretMonster Updated to Show Up to the 21st Fret – for those of you who use my interactive fretboard tool, I made an update that extends the length of the fretboard. It now shows up to the 21st fret, which is perfecto if you're letting those high notes wail

​Community Q&A: Johnny Cash Walking Basslines in Blistered – here's a video reply I sent for Rick, who asked about the walking baselines Johnny Cash uses in Blistered. Unlike what I taught in lesson #354, where I show how to use the major scale of your current key to walk between chords — Cash is venturing outside the major scale to get the job done (you might hear this described as non-diatonic). It was a fun song to dissect... check it out. This video reply was posted in the members-only community forum (learn more).

Pumped to see TOOL Tonight in Austin – lastly, I'm a few hours from heading to downtown Austin to see TOOL live — it'll be my first time! I'll admit their music is quite new to me — but thanks to the YouTube breakdowns from Michael Palmisano and Rick Beato – I can't wait to hear them in person.
